Canada Day Jerk

     Hope you had a safe and happy Canada day yesterday. It was PACKED out there. Lots of fun. Overall the police say that everyone was pretty well behaved. For example, with the thousands of people that were out in Kelowna last night, only about 40 ended up in the drunk tank.

    Took my family to the fireworks last night to celebrate the festivities and I gotta tell ya, sometimes I'm super surprised about what people will say. My mom and I were walking downtown towards the lake to check out the fireworks and some drunk dude wishes us a Happy Canada Day. So we say, as anybody would, Happy Canada Day. Then, this ignorant jerk decides to look at my and my mom and say "Welcome to Canada." I was like, uhh, huh? He said, "Welcome to our country." I was FLOOOOORED that someone would say. I have an east Indian background, but I was born in Canada. Dude was soooooo ignorant. I hope he was one of the 40 that got slammed in the drunk tank last night. I should've welcomed him to the real world.
