To avoid mistakes with poison, when it must be kept in the house, paste a strip of sandpaper around the bottle or tie a tiny bell to the neck!
In cooking tough meat, add an acid, such as tomato or lemon, and it will tenderize the meat.
Wash walls from the bottom up. If you start at the top, streaks will occur when the dirty water rolls down the wall. These streaks are almost impossible to remove.
Before you place that delicious fresh cake on a plate, sift some powdered sugar over the plate. This will keep the cake from sticking.
