Okanagan residents will have the ear of the Federal Liberals.

Michael Ignatieff, the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada is coming to Kelowna August 14.

Diana Cabott, Federal Liberal Candidate for Kelowna-Lake Country says the purpose of the visit is to listen.

"We've had many senior members of parliament visit Kelowna but the public has not had a chance to engage with them. So this is open to all of the riding and we really encourage people to come forward and ask him some hard questions."

Ignatieff will be holding two round tables and a townhall meeting at Okanagan College - the focus of which will be the environment and the Liberal 'Green Shift' plan.
