Kelowna's top cop is BC's top cop

Superintendent Bill McKinnon has been elected president of the BC Assocation of Chiefs of Police.

The association represents municipal police forces across the province.

It is a lobby group that works with all levels of government on policing issues.

The BCACP promotes positive policing changes and advocates for legislative reform.

The position president rotates between the RCMP and the municipal police forces every year.
