Mission Dance Company presents Dance Artistico 2008

The Mission Dance Company with the students of the Mission Dance Centre presents two shows of Dance Artistico 2008 on Saturday, April 19th in the Kelowna Community Theatre at 2pm and 7:30pm featuring Cinderella, a new story ballet choreographed by Tanya Bakala.  Other highlights include a ballet set to Imant Raminsh's beautiful choral work - Missa Brevis, two new modern ballets and a traditional Flamenco piece called Sevillanas. We are pleased to introduce guest artist Erika Ingram performing a ballet solo to music from Don Quixote.

Keyboard virtuoso Derek Sherinian made a name for himself in the post-Dream Theater world of progressive metal both as a sideman and a solo artist in his own right. Sherinian grew up in California and studied at the Berklee School of Music, where he perfected his hard rock and fusion chops.
