Kelowna Mounties hope surveillance video will help them catch a suspect wanted after an assault at Gotcha's Nite Club last Friday.

Constable Julie Rattee says the victim was slashed in the throat just after 2 in the morning, and rushed immediately to hospital.

The victim was released from hospital the next day, after undergoing surgery.

Rattee says video from outside Gotcha's shows both the suspect and and the victim.

The suspect is described as in his late 20's or early 30's, 5-10, with short brown hair, and believe he may be in the lower mainland.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-822-8477 or the Kelowna "tip hot-line" at 1-250-470-6236.
