Horizons Azur is a jazz album that is stunning due to its high quality compositions, musicianship, and utter accessibility. The Belgian group H Septet weaves a beautiful and delicate European jazz that can sound orchestra-large at times, as during the counterpoint between clarinet (Antoine Prawerman) and saxophones (Pierre Vaiana and Daniel Stokart) in "Heptacode" and the Willem Breuker Kollektief-reminiscent action of "H Dance."
