This is a nifty little Dion compilation of tunes recorded at the height of his career between 1962 and 1964 for Columbia Records and issued by their parent company Sony. What makes it interesting is that it has both the doo wop and early rock hits like "Ruby Baby," and "Donna the Prima Donna," as well as lesser-known titles from the period such as "A Sunday Kind of Love," and his self-penned gem "Will Love Ever Come My Way" and "Unloved, Unwanted Me." Additionally, there is one track from Dion's first period of singing the blues with his very fine version of Willie Dixon's "Hoochie Coochie Man." There's a little bit of everything on this ultra-cheap set and it provides a decent and diverse introduction to one of the greatest if underappreciated singers and songwriters of the 20th century.
