Y.U.P. - Toppatakkeja Ja Toledon Terästä

Yup's last effort for the independent Elmerecords label, Toppatakkeja Ja Toledon Terästä, is a difficult piece of music to listen to. With two guitarists, they are even more able to play complex guitar riffs, constantly change rhythms, and have more than 30 different parts in one song. Luckily Toppatakkeja is also their first record with a real producer, so things aren't so out of control. The first tracks, "Tyttö Jota Rakastan" and "Minä Olen Myyrä," are basically the same than any track on Huuda Harkiten, but as previously mentioned, a producer and more than one guitarist make the final sound richer and cleaner. Read More
