Dirty Vegas' Trip is a fairly enjoyable set of the UK electronica trio's fave tracks, continuously mixed and mindful of the mainstream. While Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock's "It Takes Two" and Run DMC's "Walk This Way" are definitely two of the world's most overplayed party tracks, they're also two of its best, and form a fine and funky opening salvo for Trip. The producers carry the latter's classic drumbeat quite cleverly through INXS' "New Sensation", moving from there into a mid-album cache of chilly old school (Grace Jones' "Slave to the Rhythm") and trippy dancefloor psychedelia (4 Hero's impossibly sunny "Les Fleur"). Read More
