The Rancho Cucamonga, CA, pop-punk quartet Rufio is comprised of members Scott Sellers (guitar, vocals), Jon Berry (bass, vocals), Clark Domae (lead guitar), and Mike Jimenez (drums). Musically comparable to such early 21st century chart-toppers as Blink-182 and Sum 41, Rufio issued their debut recording, Perhaps, I Suppose..., in 2001 on the Revelation Records label. The band returned in June 2003 with the well-received Mcmlxxxv (1985) (released on the Nitro label), which was recorded with the aid of producer Nick Rasculinecz (Foo Fighters, Rancid), and went on to sell over 75,000 copies. Rufio further upped their profile with a series of Warped Tour dates that summer. The more mature The Comfort Of Home appeared in July 2005, and by fall, the guys had joined up on tour with Mxpx and Relient K. Berry amicably parted ways with the band in early 2006, and Rufio spent that March on the road with I Am The Avalanche supporting No Use For A Name. The next year, Rufio called it a day, playing their last shows together in June 2007. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
