Miguel & Bernie

Though Dominican-based bachata duo Miguel & Bernie were newcomers to the international recording world with their 2007 release Todo Por La Luna, the pair had already been performing regularly for close to a decade. Like many Dominican artists, it was their relationship with New York-based J&N Records that would ultimately bring them to the tropical music world's attention. Singles from their debut album, like "Ayudala" and "Como Quisiera Enamorarme de Mi," benefited from heavy rotation on several tropical radio stations, putting Miguel & Bernie in the favorable position as J&N's golden boys, an act the powerful Dominican music label would be likely to push. ~ Evan C.
