Steadman Trial Begins

The twelve person jury will hear from close to 20 witnesses in the trial of Howard Steadman, who is charged with being an accessory after the fact in the murder of Keith Black.

Keith Black, a Westside resident, was killed by Ronda Black in July of 1998.

In opening arguments today at the Kelowna Court House, Crown Counsel's Norm Yates told the jury they will hear a video taped confession from Steadman to undercover officers that he helped Ronda Black dispose to her husbands body near his home in Exshaw Alberta.

The Steadman trial is expected to last 5 weeks.
