Avalanche Warning for Back Country Skiers

Polish up the golf clubs because backcountry ski and snowmobiling season is over.

John Kelly with the Canadian Avalanche Centre says the quick switch from winter to summer could cause major avalanches in mountains across BC and Alberta which has them issuing a warning to stay out.

In addition, Kelly tells us the weak base that fell in December is still causing problems.

Kelly says it's their last warning of the year as they aren't able to get anymore current information about the snowpack.
