The Kelowna City Council deliberated late into the night, talking about the budget, and how to keep tax increases to a minimum.

City Councillor Angela Reid said some sacrifices needed to be made.

"One of the biggest cuts was a park that was on the table.  However we had a choice...between Mugford park in Rutland and a mountain bike skills park."

Because of the hard work of council members, they were able to keep 2009 tax increases to 3.3 percent
