2nd Degree Murder Charge in Rutland Shooting

They lived in the same home, but in different suites.

Thats what Kelowna Mounties are now saying about the 38-year-old victim and his alleged killer, after a shooting in Rutland yesterday.

RCMP say 69-year-old Frank Kainz has been charged with 2nd degree murder, and makes his next appearance on May 15th.

Kainz remains in police custody, and the identity of the victim is not being released until next-of-kin are notified.
