Hitchhiker Stabs Elderly Man

Picking up a hitchhiker has a 85 year-old man in hospital suffering from a stab wound to the neck.

Last night at around 11 o'clock the elderly man picked up a hitchhiker along Highway 97 near the Kelowna Airport and drove him to the parking lot of the Coopers Plaza.

The victim was stabbed in the neck and then thrown from the vehicle.

The suspect left the scene in a blue 1987 Dodge pickup truck heading up Beaver Lake Road,
