Westside Workshop

The District of Westside held a neighbourhood planning workshop this morning.
Councillors and nearly twenty community members turned up to hear a presentation on neighbourhood plans for the upcoming Community Plan Review.
Acting Mayor Duane Ophus says they heard some interesting points from residents.
"One gentlemen asked us to put a 'Health-care perspective lens" on the neighbourhood plan process or the Official Community Plan process which I thought was very interesting. And I think by that what he means is building healthy communities. Communities with greenspace and connecting trails and bikeways and those types of issues."
Ophus says the OCP review for the Westside will begin in the next few months.
