Stinky Fridge!!! Things That Make You Go EWWWW!!!!

I wasn't home all weekend. Didn't even go inside

Well on Friday afternoon, my building had a power outage which was only supposed to last a couple hours...Well trusting that it would be back on, I left the house to start my weekend around 3pm on Friday...Only to come back late Sunday night around MIDNIGHT to find that I STILL DIDN'T HAVE POWER. It was out ALLLLL WEEKEND and they weren't able to fix it until this morning

So I'm sure you can guess what happened to my fridge AND FREEZER. Everything had to be thrown out...I had prawns, chicken, beef...samosas. They all had to be thrown out...But the fridge...was NASTY...

One of the worst things...ground beef that had cooked itself in the fridge. So sad...and there were quite a few people on the hits line who shared my pain. Kristina emailed me at sonia@thesun.net to share her story....

I used to rent out my house, and once I had a tenant abandon the place. I went in to clean up - what a mess. Along with the rest of the house, I had to deal with the fridge. There was ground hamburger and ground pork that was left in the bottom drawer (not in a package) that had solidified into one big hunk of gross!!!!! There was red peppers and cucumbers in the other drawer that were only held together by the plastic wrap around them. The top shelf in the fridge had chicken breasts (?) wrapped in just plastic wrap that had dripped down over all of the other rotten food in the fridge. After just opening the fridge door, the whole house stunk!!! I tried cleaning it with anything I could get my hands on, and none of it helped. It was far beyond gross!  Keep up the good work!!

Fridge Findings

I couldn't make a call in earlier today but your comments about finding horrible, growing things in your fridge made me laugh! The fridge is a source of much conversation in our house since it's always the last thing to get cleaned around here, but I have to tell you my husband's thoughts on this subject. He wants to know why they call it a 'crisper'? You know, those drawers at the bottom of everyone's fridge where we store our fruits & vegies? His comment is they should call it the 'rotter' because nothing comes out of there crisper than what it was when it first went in! It's so true...particularly in our house. Have a great day!
