Doug Findlater elected mayor of the district of Westside

The newly formed District of Westside has elected it's second official mayor.

Incumbent-councillor Doug Findlater will be taking over as mayor for the next three years and looks forward to all the challenges he will be facing as mayor.

Findlater says he is pleased former mayor Rosalind Neis will be returning as a councillor.

Council now gets to decide whether they will be changing the newly formed Districts name to West Kelowna, which residents voted for in an non-binding referendum.
