Ambulance in four-vehicle crash

An ambulance racing to an emergency in Kelowna Thursday night ended up in a crash down in the Mission.

Mounties say four vehicles were involved in the crash at the corner of Lakeshore and DeHart Roads.

Seems the ambulance had its lights and sirens on while heading northbound, and travelled through a red light when it collided with an eastbound minivan.  That vehicle ended up crashing into a truck, plus another car.

Two people suffered minor cuts, but there were no serious injuries.  No charges have been laid.
