RCMP seize slew of drugs

Mounties put an end to a grow-op in Kelowna earlier this week.

The RCMP Drug Section searched a home in the 300 block of Meikle Avenue on Tuesday, when they found 29 pot plants, five pounds of dried bud, a quarter pound of hash, plus an ounce of cocaine.  Police also seized about a hundred ecstacy pills.

No one was inside the home when officers searched the home.

But a 26 year old local man associated with the home later turned himself in.  He, along with a woman police managed to track down, will be facing charges of Posession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
