Lake Country blaze destroys 2 cabins

A short in a hot water tank is being blamed for a Canada Day Blaze in Lake Country.

The fire occured around the dinner hour Wednesday at the Pixie beach resort as the fire ignite two cabins in the area.

Lake Country fire chief says thankfully, no one was hurt.

"I believe that everybody was pretty much down at the lake at the time, so I don't think there was alot of people actually around the resort at that given time."

The two cabins were completely destroyed, and a third was partially damaged by the fire.

Damage is estimated in the 100-thousand dollar range.
