Underground/hardcore West Coast rapper C-Lim began his recording career by appearing as a guest on other artists' albums (including Brotha Lynch Hung, Mr. Doctor, and X-Rated), as well as contributing tracks to several various-artists compilations. He built up a following along the West Coast and in parts of the Midwest, and eventually signed to the Diamond Life label, which released his debut album, What Dat 'n' Like, in 2000. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
